As a Lakewood native with over 35 years experience in construction and inspection, I have the experience and expertise to help you accurately access the condition of your home. My approach is friendly and common sense. I discuss the property in easy to understand terms and welcome you to accompany me during the inspection.
Since 2004 I have had over 3,000 happy clients! I know houses. A house that was built in 1890 must be inspected differently than a house that was built in 2010. It takes many years of experience to understand the diverse types of foundations, plumbing, and wiring that have been installed over the years. I know it because I’ve owned it, worked on it, repaired it, and inspected it. There is no substitute for experience. I have not only completed certification training but have many years of hands-on experience that ensures you will have the right information about your new home.
I have the tools and knowledge to perform your home inspection right. I’ll use infrared thermography, moisture detection, and many other specialized tools to perform your inspection. I inspect the whole house including foundation, roofs, HVAC, electrical and plumbing. You will also receive what I have been told is the best report in the business. Many inspectors will come in, say very little, and jot down notes without clarifying anything. Gene is not only an experienced inspector – along with a VERY experienced electrician (one of the key components of your inspection) – but is a great communicator. Good luck finding BOTH a great inspector from a technical standpoint AND a great communicator; Gene is definitely great in both of these areas. Gene was honest with me about problem areas and also had suggestions about how to handle the problem areas if I were to decide to take them on. To be sure, Gene’s suggestions were right on.
